Visitors can enjoy picnics at Saddle Dam and Ridge Picnic Areas, with Ridge featuring sheltered gas barbecues. The park boasts diverse walking trails, including the 18 km Sugarloaf Walking Track encircling the reservoir. Wildlife such as Wedge-tailed Eagles, Black-tailed Wallabies, and Echidnas are commonly spotted. Sailing is permitted through the Sugarloaf Sailing and Boating Club, with launching facilities available on Sundays and public holidays. Shoreline fishing is allowed in designated areas; a Victorian Amateur Fishing Licence is required. The park operates daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, extending to 7:00 pm during daylight saving. Dogs and solid fuel barbecues are not permitted.
