Established in 1903, Sturt Bowling Club is the third oldest in South Australia and the oldest on its original site. Located adjacent to Unley Oval on Trimmer Terrace, Unley, the club offers a vibrant atmosphere for both seasoned bowlers and newcomers. It fields multiple teams in the Bowls SA Metropolitan Pennant competition, with a notable record of 68 pennants, including seven in Division One. The clubhouse honors Dr. Jack Petchell, the 1947 Australian Open Champion. The club's exceptional Night Owl program attracts over 250 participants on Tuesday and Thursday nights from October to March. Facilities are available for hire, accommodating various events with flexible arrangements.
