The Stockton Centre, located at 342 Fullerton Street, Stockton NSW 2295, was formerly a residential care facility for individuals with disabilities. In 2021, it ceased operations and has since been repurposed to address housing needs in the Hunter region. The NSW Government invested $2.45 million to transform seven homes on the site into transitional housing, providing short-term accommodation for up to 25 people each night. This initiative aims to support families facing homelessness by offering immediate relief and assistance in finding long-term housing solutions.
