Located at 3 Scallan Street in Stawell, the Stawell RSL Sub-Branch is a community-focused organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. The venue offers social and welfare activities, including organizing Anzac Day, Vietnam Veterans Day, and Remembrance Day memorial services. A highlight is the Stawell Sub-Branch RSL War Museum, housed in a historic two-storey building featuring original fireplaces, stained glass windows, and a beautiful staircase. The museum showcases war memorabilia from World War I and II, an extensive library, and a large collection of photographs and glass slides. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of this magnificent building. The venue also hosts a happy hour every Friday at 5 pm, welcoming all members and guests. Membership is available for $40 per year, with pro-rata rates for new members. The hall is available for hire; charges are available upon application. Meetings are held monthly on the second Tuesday at 5 pm, with the Annual General Meeting in March. The venue operates under RSL (Vic) Inc. rules and licensed venue procedures.
