Nestled in Stawell's historic precinct, the Stawell Historical Society Inc. operates from the 1860 Pleasant Creek Courthouse, offering a rich exploration of the region's past. Adjacent to the Stawell Visitor Information Centre, the museum showcases exhibits on gold mining, early local newspapers, and original photographs. The Stewart Bradley Research Centre, established in 2016, houses extensive records, including birth, death, and marriage certificates, as well as cemetery and burial records. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the museum welcomes visitors to delve into Stawell's storied heritage.
