The Stawell Amateur Athletic Club, established in 1966, is a friendly, family-oriented group that offers cross-country running events in the picturesque Ironbark Forests surrounding Stawell. The club conducts 20 handicap races from April to September, with distances ranging from 3km to 16km for seniors and 1km to 2km for juniors and sub-juniors. Races are held on Saturdays at 10:00 AM, starting from the clubroom at North Park, Lamont Street. Members compete for prizes, trophies, and sashes, fostering a welcoming environment for runners of all ages and abilities. Non-club members are also welcome to participate as fun runners.
