The Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival, held biennially in Queensland's Granite Belt region, celebrates the harvest of apples and grapes over ten days. The 2026 festival is scheduled from February 27 to March 8. Highlights include the Queensland Country Bank Food & Wine Fiesta, Channel 7 Grand Parade, Balancing Heart Vineyard Celebrity Grape Crushing Championships, Banchetto Italiano (Long Lunch), Apple Pie and Apple Peeling Competitions, markets, live music, and more. Stanthorpe, located on the New England Highway just north of the NSW border, is Queensland's premier wine-growing region, home to over 50 wineries and nearly 40 cellar doors. The town is less than three hours' drive from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Armidale, Dalby, and Goondiwindi, and two hours from Toowoomba.
