
Located at 7 Arundel Road in Brighton, the St John SA Museum & Research Centre showcases the rich history of the Order of St John and St John Ambulance. Established in 1988, the St John Historical Society of SA collects, preserves, and researches artifacts reflecting the organization's evolution over 900 years. The museum features a diverse collection, including first aid and home nursing equipment, vintage ambulances from the 1970s, a 1949 motorcycle and sidecar, and uniforms worn throughout the years. Guides are available to answer questions and explain the technological advancements in first aid and ambulance care over the decades. Open to the public on Fridays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and Sundays from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, the museum also accommodates group bookings at mutually agreed times.
