St Helens Beach is a serene coastal town in Queensland's Mackay Region, offering a tranquil retreat with its 2.3 km long, north-east facing beach. The beach is well-protected from most waves, featuring a narrow, sandy high tide beach fronted by sandy tidal flats up to 2 km wide, interspersed with mangroves and rock flats. The area is home to approximately 175 residents and is bordered by the Coral Sea to the east and the town of Calen to the south. While there are no schools within the town, the nearest government primary and secondary schools are located in neighboring Calen.
