Sphinx Rock Lookout, a sandstone outcrop in Wellington Park, offers a family-friendly walk with panoramic views of Mount Wellington, Hobart, and the eastern shore. The 2.7 km return trail, starting from The Springs car park, is well-maintained and mostly flat, making it accessible for all ages. The lookout features a childproof gate for safety. In clear conditions, visitors can see as far as Bruny and Betsey Islands. The area is also known for its wildflower displays in late winter and early spring.
