Southern Queensland Correctional Centre, located in Spring Creek, approximately 17 kilometers from Gatton, is a high-security women's facility managed by Queensland Corrective Services. The facility also features a Parental Support Unit, allowing women to have their young children with them during incarceration. In 2021, the centre transitioned to public operation, enhancing its capacity and services.
