Established in 1959, South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to ensuring the safety of beachgoers at the southern end of Maroubra Beach. Operating from September to April, the club boasts over 1,000 members, ranging from Nippers (children aged 5 to 14) to senior patrolling members. Beyond lifesaving, the club offers a vibrant social atmosphere and hosts various events, including the South Maroubra Ocean Challenge. Its facilities, such as the Horizons function space and the BK Lounge & Heritage Room, provide stunning beach views, making it an ideal venue for special occasions.
