Sorell Mens Shed

The Sorell Men's Shed, located at 8 Station Lane, Sorell, Tasmania, is a charitable, not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering community engagement and personal well-being. Endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a "Deductible Gift Recipient," the Shed offers a welcoming space for men to connect, learn new skills, and share knowledge. Members have access to a comprehensive woodworking area equipped with modern tools, a welding bay, a small engine repair workshop, and a vehicle hoist for maintenance projects. The Shed operates Monday to Friday, with varying hours, and is closed on public holidays. In April 2024, the Tasmanian Government announced $550,000 in funding for a new purpose-built facility to house both the Sorell Men's Shed and the Lions Club of Sorell, enhancing the Shed's capacity to serve the community.
