Silo Art

In 2017, renowned Australian artist Guido van Helten transformed the Viterra grain silos in Coonalpyn into a monumental mural, marking South Australia's inaugural silo art. The artwork features five local children from Coonalpyn Primary School, symbolizing the community's hope for the future. This 30-meter-high mural is part of the Coorong District Council's 'Creating Coonalpyn' initiative, aiming to rejuvenate the town through art. Visitors can admire the mural, which remains on operational silos, and explore the surrounding area, including nearby cafes and facilities.
