Established in 1884, the Semaphore Masonic Lodge constructed its impressive building at 66 Semaphore Road in 1911. Designed by architect Charles Walter Rutt and builder Firth Tillotsen, the structure features a Masonic temple, lodge room, hall, and four shops. The entrance showcases Egyptian-inspired columns with globes atop, reflecting Freemasonry's ancient influences. Over the years, the hall has hosted numerous community events and continues to serve as a local polling place.
