
Saltwater National Park, located near Taree, NSW, is a coastal reserve rich in Aboriginal heritage and natural beauty. The park features Saltwater Beach, popular for surfing and swimming, and Khappinghat Creek, ideal for canoeing and fishing. Visitors can enjoy the Five Islands walking track, explore the rainforest on the headland, or relax at the well-equipped picnic area with gas barbecues and amenities. From August to November, the headland offers excellent whale-watching opportunities. The park is also home to diverse wildlife, including bottlenose dolphins and sea eagles.
