Salter Springs, SA

Salter Springs is a small town in South Australia's Mid North region, situated west of Riverton and south of Woolshed Flat. Established in 1858, it was named after William Salter, who arrived in 1839 and operated a sheep station in the area. The town's school, which opened in 1867, closed in 1956. Today, Salter Springs is a tranquil rural locality, offering a peaceful environment amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Clare and Gilbert Valleys.
