The park features two distinct vegetation communities: plains grassy woodland and river red gum ecosystems, supporting a rich mix of indigenous species. Notable areas include the Davies Street wetlands and northern grasslands, where indigenous grasses and herbs have been reintroduced. Wildlife enthusiasts can observe various species, including four frog species and yellow-tailed black cockatoos during late winter and early spring.
