
Rifle Range is a rural locality in Queensland's Somerset Region, covering approximately 9.4 square kilometers. The area is characterized by irrigated cropping near Lockyer Creek and rural residential properties in the south. Access is primarily via Rifle Range Road from neighboring Lowood. Historically, a rifle range was established near Lowood in 1886, and a new facility was opened in 1905, influencing the locality's name. The original Lowood rifle range closed in 1953. As of the 2021 census, Rifle Range had a population of 197 residents.
