Reids Flat is a historic village nestled along the south bank of the Lachlan River in New South Wales' South West Slopes region. Approximately 40 kilometers southeast of Wyangala, it lies within the Great Dividing Range. Established as Numby, the village was renamed Reids Flat in 1929. With a population of 85 as of the 2021 census, it offers a tranquil residential environment. The area is renowned for its fine merino wool production, supplying high-quality fleece to the Italian fashion market. While lacking commercial establishments, Reids Flat features a public hall, showground, and is surrounded by picturesque landscapes.
