Redhead Beach, New South Wales

Redhead Beach, located at the northern end of a nine-mile stretch of coastline, is renowned for its stunning cliffs, rocky outcrops, and the iconic shark tower. This beach is a popular destination for surfers and swimmers, offering ideal conditions for both activities. The Redhead Surf Life Saving Club, established in 1908, is situated here, providing patrolled safety during the warmer months. Visitors can enjoy a boardwalk leading to the beach, where they might encounter swans, ducks, and other local wildlife. Amenities include accessible parking, picnic tables, a kiosk, and both indoor and outdoor showers. The beach is also pet-friendly, with designated areas for dogs to roam. For those interested in 4WD driving, permits are available for sand driving between Awabakal and Jewel Streets. Please note that beach camping is no longer permitted, but beach fires are allowed with specific conditions.
