Constructed in 1870 in the Victorian Regency style by architect George Allen Mansfield, it served as the seat of the Municipality of Redfern until 1948. The building has been restored to preserve its heritage features, including the façade, stonework, windows, and roof. It offers two halls available for hire: the Large Hall, accommodating up to 150 people, and the Small Hall, suitable for up to 70 people. Both spaces are equipped with air-conditioning and hearing loop systems. Accessibility features include ramps at the front entrance and an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
