Located at the corner of King Street and Birdwood Avenue in Ararat, the Ararat Railway Museum showcases the region's rich railway heritage. Managed by the Ararat Railway Heritage Association, the museum features two historically significant signal boxes, including Signal Box 'A', commissioned in 1891. Visitors can explore a collection of railway memorabilia and a working model train, reflecting the pivotal role of railways in shaping the area's history. The museum operates on Fridays from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. An optional gold coin donation is appreciated to support its ongoing maintenance.
