RAAF Base Wagga, established in 1940, serves as a pivotal training hub for the Royal Australian Air Force. It offers initial military training through No 1 Recruit Training Unit and specialized courses in aviation maintenance, logistics, and personnel management via the RAAF School of Technical Training and the RAAF School of Administration and Logistics Training. The base also provides postgraduate education through the School of Postgraduate Studies. Supporting these programs are Headquarters Ground Academy, No 31 Squadron, Wagga Health Centre, and a station of the Joint Military Police Unit.
