Nestled in Gunning, Pye Cottage Museum offers a glimpse into the area's rich history. Originally built in Dalton around 1860, the slab hut was relocated to Yass Street in 1974. Inside, visitors find period furnishings, photographs of notable local figures, and artifacts highlighting the district's wool heritage. The museum also showcases household items and agricultural tools. Operated by the Gunning & District Historical Society, it opens every fourth Sunday and by appointment, welcoming groups and individual visitors alike. Admission is $5, with a gold coin donation suggested for special events.
