Puckapunyal Military Area, located approximately 10 kilometers west of Seymour in central Victoria, is Australia's largest military training facility, encompassing around 39,290 hectares. Established in 1939, it serves as the headquarters for the Combined Arms Training Centre, which includes the School of Armour, School of Artillery, and School of Transport. The base also houses the Joint Logistics Unit – Victoria and the Army Knowledge Centre. Within its grounds, the Australian Army Museum Puckapunyal showcases the heritage collections of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps and the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery. The area is rich in biodiversity, featuring box-ironbark forests that support numerous native species. In May 2023, a new health and wellbeing facility was opened to support the physical and mental readiness of personnel.
