Portland Golf Club, established in 1914, offers a beautifully manicured, easy-walking, fully irrigated championship course with spectacular views over the Southern Ocean in a lovely country setting. The course features quality grass greens and a mixture of Kikuyu and Bent fairways, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels. Golf is available year-round, with competition days on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Twilight competitions are held on Wednesday and Friday evenings during the summer months. The clubhouse offers full bar facilities and is available for functions. Carts, clubs, and buggies are available for hire. Major events include the Spring Tournament in October, Seniors Tournament in October, Christmas Special in December, Assets Real Estate South West Classic in January, Porthaul Australia Day Ambrose in January, Seaside Cup for Ladies in February, and Autumn Tournament in March. Sunday Fun Days are also held, welcoming all participants. The clubhouse and pro shop are open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Fridays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am.
