Nestled at the northern end of Freers Beach, Port Sorell Surf Life Saving Club is a family-friendly hub dedicated to community engagement and beach safety. Established in 2002, the club offers surf sports programs for all ages, from Nippers (5–13 years) to Cadets (13–15 years) and Seniors (15+ years), fostering skills in surf awareness, fitness, and water safety. Patrols operate on weekends and public holidays from December to March, ensuring safe beach experiences. The venue also hosts events like the Winter Solstice Swim and community markets, promoting local connections. With a capacity of 60 seated, the upstairs venue and balcony provide stunning views across Freers Beach to Narawntapu National Park, available for hire for weddings, private, or community events.
