
Port Sorell Memorial Hall, located at 33 Darling Street, Port Sorell, Tasmania, was officially opened on November 10, 1950, by Mr. A.T. Cutts, M.L.C. The hall was established to honor those who have served in various conflicts involving Australia. It was largely constructed through the efforts of the Country Women's Association. The hall features an honor board recognizing the contributions of community groups to Australia's defense and peacekeeping activities. The Port Sorell Memorial Hall Committee, a volunteer group, coordinates its operation and maintenance on behalf of the Latrobe Council.
