The club's senior men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL) as the Power, while its reserves men's team plays in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) as the Magpies. Port Adelaide has secured a record 36 SANFL premierships, four Championship of Australia titles, and an AFL Premiership in 2004. The club's home ground is Alberton Oval, with matches also held at Adelaide Oval. In 2017, Port Adelaide hosted an AFL match at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai, becoming the first AFL club to play for premiership points outside Australia and New Zealand.
