Poppet Head Park

Poppet Head Park, located 5 kilometers south of Cessnock in Kitchener, NSW, is a regional park that preserves the historic Poppet Head of the Aberdare Central Colliery. The park features a shaded playground with swings, slides, a climbing wall, and a zip line, all covered by shade cloths. Picnic facilities include sheltered tables and a BBQ area. A bushland walking trail encircles the dam, home to mallards, black swans, native wood ducks, and red-bills. The park is accessible to people with mobility needs.
