Pooraka Farm Community Centre

The Pooraka Farm Community Centre, established in 1982, is a vibrant hub offering a range of educational, recreational, and support services to the community. Located at 126 Henderson Avenue, Pooraka, South Australia, the centre features a modern, light-filled building constructed in 1993. It is conveniently situated near a childcare centre and a shopping complex, within easy walking distance from Main North Road, and accessible via several bus routes. The centre offers a variety of programs, including adult education classes, arts and crafts workshops, fitness sessions, and playgroups. It also hosts various community groups and provides facilities such as a Men's Shed, located at 39 Scott Street, Pooraka. The Men's Shed is a vibrant space for men interested in woodworking or metalworking projects, operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 1 pm. For event hosting, the centre offers hall hire services at two locations: - **Henderson Avenue Hall**: A versatile space suitable for parties, weddings, and meetings, measuring approximately 12 x 10 metres. It includes a spacious kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, hot water urn, and refrigerator, accessible from the hall. Additional amenities include air conditioning/heating, ample car parking, and an outdoor garden area. - **Scott Street Hall**: Ideal for larger gatherings, this hall measures 14 x 14 metres and is equipped with a large kitchen, small stage, air conditioning/heating, and parking facilities.
