The area is renowned for its fertile alluvial soil, making it ideal for agricultural pursuits such as turf farming, market gardening, and equine activities. Notably, it houses the Scheyville National Park, which encompasses the largest remnant of Cumberland Plain Grey Box/Ironbark Woodland in the region.
