Pitt Town Bottoms, located 58 kilometers northwest of Sydney's CBD in the City of Hawkesbury, is a historic suburb established in 1794. It is bounded to the west by the Hawkesbury River. The area is renowned for its fertile alluvial soil, making it ideal for agricultural pursuits such as turf farming, market gardening, and equine activities. Notably, it houses the Scheyville National Park, which encompasses the largest remnant of Cumberland Plain Grey Box/Ironbark Woodland in the region. The park also features Longneck Lagoon, part of the Hawkesbury wetlands, home to a diverse array of birdlife and several threatened species.
