Nestled within the Glenroy Heritage Reserve, the Pioneer Women's Hut Museum in Tumbarumba showcases the resourcefulness of early rural Australian women. Its diverse collection reflects their innovative solutions to family life challenges. The Heritage Quilt Room features "The Gift of Thrift" exhibition, highlighting the art of quilting. Adjacent, Glenroy Cottage Crafts offers a variety of handcrafted goods. Additional displays include a machinery shed filled with farm implements used by the pioneers of the Tumbarumba district. The museum operates on Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free, with a $5 fee for the quilt exhibition. Group bookings are available upon request.
