Originally constructed in 1909-10 for the Hobart Teacher’s Training College, it was the first purpose-built facility in Tasmania for teacher training. The recent redevelopment has preserved original elements such as internal brickwork, timber flooring, and cast iron downpipes, while introducing modern amenities like a DDA-compliant lift and fully accessible facilities.
