
Established in 1989 by the Australian-Bosnian community, Penshurst Mosque at 445-447 Forest Road, Penshurst, has been a cornerstone for over 30 years, fostering inter-religious and inter-cultural understanding. The mosque hosts an annual "Open Mosque Day," inviting all Australians to experience Bosnian Muslim culture and meet the congregation, promoting a society free from religious prejudice. Active in local affairs, it participates in fundraising for various community causes and was honored with Oatley MP Mark Coure’s St George Community Award in 2013.
