The paranaple centre, located at 137 Rooke Street in Devonport, Tasmania, is a modern, multi-purpose civic building that serves as a central hub for the community. It houses a state-of-the-art library, an integrated customer service centre including Service Tasmania, a café, Devonport Online, Council offices, and an 800-seat convention centre. The centre also features a food and events pavilion showcasing the region’s premium produce through restaurants, a distillery, a brewery, accredited hospitality sector training facilities, and events spaces. Additionally, the paranaple arts centre, which opened in November 2018, is located within the building and is home to the Devonport Regional Gallery, Town Hall Theatre, and the Devonport Visitor Information Centre. The heritage building evolved from the original 1899 Devonport Town Hall and 1902 Courthouse. The paranaple arts centre is wheelchair accessible, including lift access.
