Palgrave is a rural locality in Queensland's Southern Downs Region, covering approximately 207.4 square kilometers. As of the latest census, it has a population of 35 residents. The area is characterized by its grazing lands and native vegetation, with the Herries Range forming its south-western boundary. Sandy Creek flows through Palgrave, eventually forming Lake Leslie at Leslie Dam. The Durakai State Forest lies to the west, adding to the region's natural beauty. Historically, Palgrave was home to the Rookwood State School, which operated from circa 1888 until its closure around 1929.
