Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church

Nestled in Dalgety, New South Wales, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church stands as a testament to the area's rich history. Established in 1878, the church was constructed using local granite blocks, with land donated by Richard Barnes, who also operated the local punt and store. The church's name is believed to honor the patron saint of early settlers who journeyed to Australia by ship. An extension designed by G.D. Cochran in 1920 added a distinctive castellated feature to the building. The church continues to serve the community, offering Mass services and a place for reflection and worship.
