Accessible via Lord Somers Road, the area features several picnic tables, two sturdy shelters, free electric barbecues, ample parking, and toilets, including an accessible unisex facility. The picnic ground is relatively flat and wheelchair accessible, though the terrain may be uneven in some areas. Visitors can enjoy a 3.7-kilometre walking trail that circles One Tree Hill, taking approximately 90 minutes through peppermint and stringy bark forest. The area is typically cooler than central Melbourne, so it's advisable to dress appropriately for the conditions. Please note that dogs are not permitted anywhere in the Dandenong Ranges National Park.
