Numinbah Nature Reserve

Established in December 1981, Numinbah Nature Reserve spans 858 hectares in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. This protected area is part of the Mount Warning/Tweed caldera and contributes to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. The reserve features sub-tropical rainforests, including the northernmost Antarctic beech trees, and provides habitat for rare species like the Springbrook leatherwood. Visitors can explore its diverse ecosystems, which range from wet sclerophyll forests to sub-montane heathlands, offering opportunities for nature appreciation and wildlife observation.
