
Nuggetty Gully, located near the historic gold mining town of Tarnagulla in Victoria's Loddon region, is a picturesque area renowned for its rich gold mining heritage. The gully was the site of significant gold discoveries in the 1850s, including a notable find of 86 pounds (39 kg) of gold over a fourteen-day period. Today, visitors can explore the surrounding box-ironbark forests, part of the Waanyarra Nature Conservation Reserve and the Waanyarra-Dunolly State Forest, offering opportunities for nature walks and wildlife observation. The area is accessible via Tarnagulla and is approximately 40 km from Bendigo.
