Established on December 12, 1954, Nowra-Culburra Surf Lifesaving Club has been dedicated to patrolling Culburra Beach, ensuring the safety of both locals and visitors. Overlooking the picturesque Warrain Beach, the club offers a welcoming environment for members of all ages. It provides comprehensive surf lifesaving training, including the Bronze Medallion, and hosts the Nippers program, teaching children essential beach safety skills. The club also actively participates in various competitions at the branch, country, and state levels, fostering a strong community spirit. In 2024, the club celebrated its 70th anniversary, marking seven decades of service and commitment to the community.
