The Captain W.H. Norman Bridge, completed in 1966, spans the Norman River in Normanton, Queensland. This single-lane bridge replaced the earlier punt system, facilitating vehicle crossings. In 2001, structural issues led to a reduced load limit, prompting the construction of a new bridge. Today, the original bridge serves as a fishing platform, equipped with shelters, lighting, water taps, fish cleaning tables, and wood-fired barbecues, offering a unique spot for anglers and visitors to enjoy the river's scenic beauty.
