Nooramunga Marine & Coastal Park, situated in Corner Inlet, South Gippsland, Victoria, encompasses a diverse landscape of shallow marine waters, isolated granite islands, intertidal mudflats, and over 40 sand barrier islands. Protected from the surf of Bass Strait by these barrier islands, the park offers sheltered waters ideal for fishing, with species like snapper, king george whiting, flathead, garfish, and Australian salmon. Visitors can enjoy bush camping on the sand barrier islands, with recognized camping areas at Swashway, Gulf, and Huts. The park is also a haven for birdwatching, hosting thirty-two species of migratory waders, including the largest concentrations of Bar-tailed Godwit and Great Knot in southeastern Australia. Additionally, the park is home to diverse flora and fauna, including Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Swamp Wallabies, koalas, and the endangered Orange-bellied Parrot. Access to the park is primarily by boat, with facilities at Port Welshpool, Port Albert, and Yanakie. Please note that the Swashway Jetty on Snake Island is currently closed for public use.
