Established in the 1922/1923 season, Nobbys Surf Life Saving Club has been dedicated to patrolling Nobbys Beach, ensuring the safety of beachgoers. The club operates beach patrols every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from the beginning of the October school holidays through to the end of April school holidays each summer season. Beyond lifesaving, Nobbys SLSC offers a variety of programs, including Nippers for youth development, surf sports competitions, and community events. The fully renovated clubhouse features iconic views of Nobbys Beach, Nobbys Lighthouse, Fort Scratchley, Newcastle Harbour, and the breakwaters. It includes a commercial-grade kitchen, licensed bar, and a fully renovated auditorium with a state-of-the-art audio/visual system. The venue is available for hire for weddings, presentations, birthdays, engagements, christenings, seminars, conferences, and Christmas parties.
