Nhill, VIC

The Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre, located at the Nhill Aerodrome, celebrates over a century of aviation history, with a special focus on the more than 10,000 young men and women who trained at the RAAF Base during World War II. The centre showcases five aircraft: a nearly fully restored Avro Anson, a fully rebuilt Wirraway, an airworthy Tiger Moth, a deSoutter, and an operational Link Trainer flight simulator. Visitors can explore a 1.4 km Heritage Walk around the former RAAF Base, featuring 40 interpretive signs that provide insights into the site's historical significance. The centre is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, as well as on public holidays, with free RV camping available on-site.
