Newland is a rural locality on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, approximately 168 km southwest of Adelaide and 50 km southwest of Kingscote. Established in 2002, it encompasses 219.132 square kilometers and has a population of about 50 residents. The area is primarily dedicated to agriculture, with 18 hectares in the southwest corner designated as the Mount Taylor Conservation Park. The Playford Highway forms the northern boundary of Newland. The region experiences a temperate climate, with average temperatures ranging from 9°C to 21°C and annual rainfall around 444 mm.
