Established in 1908, New Town Croquet Club is the oldest in southern Tasmania, offering three high-quality courts in a picturesque setting adjacent to a sports oval, bowls club, and netball courts. Catering to all skill levels, the club provides a welcoming environment for both beginners and seasoned players. Membership includes annual fees and daily playing fees, with visitors also welcome. Coaching is available for those interested in improving their skills. The club participates in inter-club pennant competitions and encourages members to enter tournaments. Dress code requires flat-soled shoes to protect the lawns, with green and yellow attire worn for pennant and tournament play. The club's calendar features various croquet events throughout the week, including golf croquet and association croquet sessions. Visitors can access the club via the parking area beside the club, entering from Creek Road.
