New Playground at Riverbank Park, Yass

The New Playground at Riverbank Park in Yass offers a vibrant and accessible outdoor space for all ages. Officially opened in July 2023, this adventure playspace features a flying fox, a custom-designed 'Skytower' with a slide, swings, a hamster wheel, and balancing logs. Additional amenities include accessible toilets, free barbecue facilities, picnic tables, and shaded areas under large leafy trees. A walking track encircles the park, leading to the Yass Off-Leash Dog Park, a newly constructed Skate Park, and local schools. The park also showcases contemporary Aboriginal murals and arches from the town’s early bridge, enhancing its cultural significance.
